These 3/8-16 Hex Flange Locknuts are manufactured from high strength Grade 8 Steel. This part features a oversize flange, larger in diameter than standard hex flange locknuts. The serrations underneath the flange act as a locking feature to improve load distribution and resistance to loosening. They feature a Zinc Yellow Finish, which is a zinc plating with a yellow chromate conversion coating that provides increased corrosion resistance over clear zinc and is commonly used in industrial and general-purpose fastening applications.
